We started the brickwork one day and then the rain literally set in the next week. For the next week it fluctuated between rain and sunshine. The brickies would start work and then it would rain. They'd pack up and leave and then the sun would come out. VERY frustrating!!
We are really impressed with how all the curves turned out and we are very grateful to Paul for a job well done, especially given how complicated the job was and how many curves, corners, mitres and windows we had. If you need an excellent bricklayer call Paul Herrington on 0411 558 580.
Tips and Tricks
- We used plastic weepholes instead of just leaving a gap. They give a great finish but you need to ensure that they are placed exactly right. You can get a similar effect by getting some termi-mesh and folding it and putting it in the weepholes
- If you are rendering and your bricks have a rough side make sure it is placed on the outside as render sticks much better if it has a rough surface to key into.
